How to Use Emoji on Your Computer
After we sent out our emoji-tastic newsletter, we got quite a few questions about how the heck we got so many emoji in there. It's quite simple! There's a super quick way to access all the emoji goodness you love using on your iPhone from your computer.
Ready? Let's get started 😁
1. Be on a Mac 🍎
Sorry, my PC friends! I don't own or use a PC, and this how-to is for Mac users! I'm actually not sure how to access emoji on a PC. I'd suggest... Googling it or using a website like Get Emoji to copy and paste the character you want.
2. Start typing 📝
Click as if you were typing wherever you would like to use emoji – like on our contact page, for example 💁
3. Go to Edit >> Emoji & Symbols
You'll find "Emoji & Symbols" at the bottom of the Edit menu! 👆
4. Choose your emoji 😉
Click the emoji you'd like to use. You can also search through the emoji, though some of the names are a little counter-intuitive.
5. Hooray! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You've just successfully used emoji from your computer. Nice! 👏
6. GO HAM 😎
Hit as many emoji as you'd like. Fill the whole screen with emoji. Revel in your newfound power.
You can also copy (⌘c) and paste (⌘v) emoji just like regular letters and numbers 😄
